My Story

A close-up of Rachel Wood smiling with gray hair, blue eyes, wearing a dark blue top, against a plain light background.

I don't come from a marketing background - and that's what makes Story Point stand out. My background is film. For 15 years I developed scripts working with high level creatives and then taught the craft of storytelling to hundreds of students. Clarity and emotional connection are essentials in that world. If the audience doesn't feel it, it doesn't work.

When I started working with businesses, I saw that the ones that struggled weren't bad at what they did, they were bad at their messaging. No purpose, no tension, no reason to care.

But the principles are identical. Whether you're pitching a film or running a business, clarity and emotional connection are what make people pay attention, and take action.

That's the gap Story Point works in.

Today I specialise in business storytelling for corporates and SMEs across the UK, helping founders and leadership teams clarify their brand message. I also use my experience and expertise to work with film and education partners internationally.

Different worlds, one principle: when the story works, everything else becomes clearer.
